$5K to Retirement In 9 Years: Year 1 “Is This Adulting?”

When I was on my FIRE journey, I found it helpful to follow others to understand what to expect down the line. One blog series that helped me immensely was the “How We Got Here” series by Millennial Revolution. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve read it – because it’s a lot 🙂 . Seeing how their lives evolved and their net worth increased over the years, helped to inspire me and make me believe that where I was at the moment was not how my story would end. The Month Of The Southwest USA: October 2021 Recap

Ok, seriously – where did 2021 go? 2022 is 2 months away and I still feel like I’m mentally in 2020. Life is weird 🙂 . Luckily not all of October was a strange time loop though. We finally got to do something that’s been on my retirement bucket list: Travel around the Southwest to see pretty things! So let’s see what I got up to in October:

I Recorded Everything I Did Every Hour For A Year: Here’s What Retirees Do All Day!

As y’all know, I’m a super nerd. And part of being super-nerdy involves being curious about what in the world I would get up to in retirement with 24/7/365 freedom. Should I Stop Blogging?

So, we’re finally here. We’ve reached the self-evaluation checkpoint I gave myself when I retired. I try to be very intentional with my decisions and how I spend my time since that’s all we have in this life 🙂 . Similarly to this post discussing if I should reveal my identity online, I wanted to examine if I should stop or change my blogging in the wake of my retirement. 1 Year Of Early Retirement: Spending, Accidental Income, What’s Changed And What’s Next?

Well, the fastest 12 months of my life are at an end. I usually do annual recap posts in December that outline my spending, income, net worth etc, but I thought it might be fun to see what just the early retirement portion looks like instead of each calendar year. Continue reading “1 Year Of Early Retirement: Spending, Accidental Income, What’s Changed And What’s Next?”

The Month Of City Hopping: Early Retirement Month 12 (September 2021)

With this post, it’s a wrap on a full year of early retirement that I’ve documented on this blog! It’s been a full year since I quit my marketing job and set out into the sunset. It’s been an absolutely wonderful time that I’m grateful I saved for posterity here. Continue reading “The Month Of City Hopping: Early Retirement Month 12 (September 2021)”

1Password Review: Protect Yo’ Shit!

*snicker* Yeah I laughed at my own title. Anyway, it always makes me laugh when people assume I have my shit together. Like (some? most? all?) humans, I have SOME shit together – not all. Not by a long shot. There are many things I know I should do…and still don’t 🙂 . Using a password manager was one of those things. I was told it was cheap, super easy and very secure in an increasingly unsafe digital world…and yet I did nothing. Continue reading “1Password Review: Protect Yo’ Shit!”
