The Month I Became A Millionaire: October 2025 Recap

I’m writing this while looking out at the sun rising over the Rocky Mountains. Adorable birds are chirping and I’m curious what wildlife we’ll spot today (recent favorites included hawks, turkeys and deer).

Colorado has been an interesting first stop after being overseas for months. And it’s been a busy month so let’s get into it!

Here’s What Retirees Do All Day! (I Recorded What I Did Every Hour For 5 Years Of Retirement)

I’m back at it 🙂 . Years ago I mentioned that I accidentally recorded everything I did in 1 hour increments for my whole first year of retirement. Originally this was because I was curious to see what I got up to with unlimited time, and later I found it so useful that I just kept doing it. Continue reading “Here’s What Retirees Do All Day! Longterm Travel With A Homebase Feels Worse Than Being A Full-Time Nomad

My Partner and I have been on the road for about 3 months now. We left our new homebase in Upstate NY and headed off to England, Scotland and Iceland and are currently in Colorado.

This is our first time traveling longterm since getting that homebase and I’ve been having some thoughts and feelings that I wanted to work out. So I wrote this post 🙂 . Continue reading “Longterm Travel With A Homebase Feels Worse Than Being A Full-Time Nomad”

5 Years Of Early Retirement: Finances, What’s Changed And What’s Next?

The Month Of Iceland: September 2025 Recap

I’m writing this while looking at the sun rising over Iceland as adorably short legged Icelandic horses graze in my front yard and a variety of birds start their day playing in the lake nearby. Literally, what is my life?!? But before I get ahead of myself, let’s see what I got up to this month.

Review: Singapore Air Economy Class – Tokyo, Japan to LAX for $44

We’ve finally reached the end of my “flying around Asia and Oceania on points” saga. This is the last flight I took in that batch that I booked with Singapore KrisFlyer points, which all together allowed me to spend the first quarter of 2025 galavanting around Japan and New Zealand while spending a total of $160.06 USD on international flights. Madness 🙂 .

Review: Stonehenge & The Cotswolds Tour From Bath, England

This summer I returned to the UK for the first time in about a decade and this was my Partner’s first time in the country of countries. His mother absolutely loves visiting the UK and her favorite part is the Cotswolds.

So one of my goals during our stay in Bath was to visit the smaller towns in the Cotswolds (I later learned that Bath itself is technically in the Cotswolds, but has a very different vibe since it’s a much bigger city). Continue reading “Review: Stonehenge & The Cotswolds Tour From Bath, England”
