The Year Of Fitness: 2024 Goals & Accomplishments

Throughout the year, I like to jot down new things I’ve learned, read, watched and experienced to try and remember what each year entailed. I then summarize all of that in my annual goals and accomplishments posts.

The goal of these posts is not just to curate what I’ve been up to, but also to document how I’ve changed from one year to the next and how I’ve grown as a person. I also like to give each year a theme in retrospect. I’ve decided that 2024 has been The Year Of Fitness. Let’s jump into why 🙂 .

Physical

My physical goals this year were to crank everything up to 11. I wanted to run faster and farther, eat better and generally enter my beast era now that I’m officially in my mid-30s. So let’s see how I did!

Food

One of my challenges in retirement was finding a food balance. I’m constantly traveling to new cities and countries and one of my favorite ways to explore a new locale is through its food.

I had a fantastic time eating everything in sight during my first few years of retirement but upon reflection, I realized that the food didn’t make me feel my best. I was sluggish and bloated, like I often am when I eat carbs (my body doesn’t handle them well).

I feel my best and my body is happiest (my blood panel numbers can back that up) when I eat keto. So this year I made a plan with the goal of eating local cuisine everywhere I go and eating keto 70% of the year (of course I kept track 😉 ). And I succeeded!

Like many things in my life, it helped to have a plan. At the beginning of the year I created the chart below and made guesses about when I would want to go off keto based on where I would be in the world. I mostly planned to eat keto when I was in places I’d been before and had already explored the restaurants (like when I visit family). And I planned be go off keto when I was in new cities and countries.

Green shows days on keto and orange days off keto

So when I ate keto (net 20g carbs), I stuck to a calorie deficit and made sure I hit my protein goals (2 g protein per kg of lean body mass) to keep my growing muscles happy. This year I used the new-to-me app Cronometer to make tracking this super easy even in other countries and languages.

In doing so, I lost 30 lbs, which was more than 10% of my body weight and I did that while eating my way across the world. I also lost 8.5″ from my waist, 8.5″ from my hips and 9.5″ from my bust. I focused and shed some of my pandemic pounds. While I was the fittest I’ve ever been in retirement (even while carrying the extra weight) and weight isn’t indicative of health, but I’ll accept this outcome.

One part of this plan I wasn’t sure about was that I began eating back my running calories this year. I didn’t previously, but I wanted to try it since I was running more than usual this year and am rarely hungry when eating keto even at a calorie deficit, but I was consistently hungry at the beginning of the year when I wasn’t eating the calories back. So I wanted to see if this made a difference and it did!

The other random thing I found was that this Cinnamon Apple Spice Tea from Celestial Seasonings is the only tea I’ve found that curbs rare, fake hunger cravings at the end of the day. I have no idea why that works, but it’s delicious.

Alcohol

Since I was already logging everything that went into my body, alcohol was a part of that. I was curious how many days this year that I would consume alcohol. I love exploring a new place through their specialties, which include beer and wine, so I was curious.

It turns out that I had a drink on 22% of the days in 2024 which means I didn’t have it on 283 days, which is almost like doing 3 of that 100 day alcohol free challenge I did in 2020. But overall my consumption seems less than previous years and definitely way less than when I was working and looking for an easy way to relax. I’ll take the positive trend!

Running

After I declared in my mind that this would be the year of fitness, I went all out. In a surprise to no one, I went too hard 🙂 . I really need to control my all or nothing impulses.

Anyway, my overall exercise goals for 2024 were to:

  1. Run 1-3 times a week
  2. Increase my pace
  3. Increase my distance

And I did all of those things! However, I also ran too hard and hurt myself by increasing my distance and pace too quickly and I’ve been dealing with the impact of that for a few months. Lesson learned! I also had a setback early this year that was also my fault, when I fell because I was sprinting on a trail that had roots sticking out of it (dumb) and I bloodied up my knees.

However, despite those setbacks, I ran more this year than previous years and I’ve been consistently improving, which is all I wanted. I also ran in 6 countries and on 2 continents, which is cool.

Yoga

This year I got into yoga for the first time in adulthood. I started trying it for running specifically to help with my tight calves because foam rolling wasn’t helping. As soon as I started doing yoga I saw a big difference in my muscle tightness and I realized that I apparently like yoga 🙂 .

I’ve also found it super helpful if I’m feeling anxious and it’s not a good time to go for a run. So I do a quick yoga routine and in less than 10 minutes I feel better 🙂 . Yoga has also helped a ton with my flexibility and balance.

One week into my routine I could easily touch the floor with my legs straight, which was a struggle to do before then. And by the end of the month, I could do all of the above yoga poses without wobbling like I had in the beginning. So this has been a fun new hobby I stumbled into as a happy accident and am excited to continue!

PT Exercises

To help get my body back to 100%, I did PT Exercises and continue to do them even since I was back to running normally. I find them really helpful, specifically this video and the updated one below.

Lifting

Our second Airbnb apartment in Costa Rica was a part of a community building that had a full set of weights set up in their gym that I took full advantage of! I love heavy lifting and haven’t found a way to do it consistently while traveling so this was a lovely treat. I was happy to see that I still remember my form and love it as much as I used to.

Since leaving that Airbnb I’ve been trying to continue doing bodyweight squats to keep myself in the practice until I can add that weight once again.

Vitamins

I’m still using this adorable grapefruit pill holder to organize my vitamins and I started doing something new that I can’t believe I haven’t done before. I started intentionally filling the entire pill holder on Mondays so I can easily count what day I’m on and if I’ve taken my pills or not based on that. Genius 😉 .

Sleep

My sleep this year was pretty awesome. I rate my sleep every month in my monthly recaps and it only went below an 8/10 once and that was a result of living in a house with 4 tiny children so I think that’s warranted 🙂 .

Despite that, I see my sleep this year as a big accomplishment since I used to be horrible at sleeping.

Mental

This gets its own little section this year 🙂 .

Meditation

I’ve talked about this a lot in my monthly recaps, but meditation has become a part of my routine this year and I’ve found it really helpful to fight spirals of unhelpful anxious thoughts. It doesn’t have to take up a lot of my day, but I saw mental improvements immediately, which I loved 🙂 and I can see myself continuing to improve, which is very heartening.

Emotional

My emotions overall have been really good this year. I had very few depressive episodes, which is a huge improvement over when I was working. My anxiety was also at an all time low overall. It’s been getting better and better since being retired and I’m so grateful for that 🙂 .

I used to think my depression and anxiety were just an intrinsic part of myself that I would never escape from or even have a more healthy distance from. But it’s awesome to see that that’s not true and that this trend of positive emotions is continuing each year in retirement.

I was able to test my emotional progress in an interesting way this year because there was a US presidential election and I was able to compare how I handled the 2020 election process as a new retiree, with how I handled it now and it was like night and day and I’m really proud of that.

In 2020, I doom-scrolled constantly, and generally was way too connected to what was going on in an unhealthy way. I still want to be informed and do all I can as a single person, such as vote in every election (big or small) and write or call my reps if I agree or don’t agree with what’s going on, but constantly being on social media was not helpful for me in 2020.

In 2024 I successfully distracted myself by re-reading books I love and playing The Sims until the results were called and then I dealt with the myriad of emotions I felt. That took a few days, but then I was ready to make a plan to see how I can try and fight to make this world a better place. So I’m proud of myself for handling this round of elections better. I think I’ve found the balance I want going forward and being on social media constantly hasn’t been part of it.

Hobbies & Skills

My hobbies continue to grow in retirement. There’s just too much that’s interesting in the world. So let’s see what I got up to in 2024.

Travel Reviews

This year I once again leaned into my childhood dream of being a reviewer of many things: films, food, flights – the works 🙂 . I post all of that stuff on my Instagram if you like that kind of thing.

Blogging & Meet Ups

Obviously blogging was still one of my major hobbies in 2024. At the end of the year, I will have written 57 posts. In addition to that, I received a lot of random opportunities thrown in my lap as a result of this blog. I go through those in the below post if you want those details.

I was also able to meet more readers this year while traveling the world, which has been absolutely wonderful! It’s great to feel connected to people wherever I go after they reach out saying they want to meet me simply based on the silly words I write on the internet. That’s so wild to me 🙂 . Y’all have also given me some fantastic recommendations, which I really appreciate!

The Accountability Beast

My #AccountabilityBeast ways continued in 2024! I’ve now been bothering people every Wednesday to do things for a few years now, and I still enjoy it as a way to check in on what y’all are up to 🙂 . I also continued to have the Patreon someone requested I set up to show their appreciation for bothering them.

Bird & Nature Identification

As you might have noticed based on my monthly recaps, I’m obsessed with birds now 🙂 . I went from thinking of every bird as “a bird”, to recognizing some local birds by sound and being able to visually identify most types of birds by shape (even when they’re backlit)!

This year I saw and identified 158 different kinds of birds across 8 US states and 6 countries!

My curiosity with identifying birds also extends to all of nature. When going for a walk, I stop a million times to take pictures and then look up plants and flowers that I don’t recognize (it drives my partner nuts 🙂 ). I collect information on all the new plants and animals I see in my monthly early retirement recaps, and am constantly shocked at how many things I didn’t know about our world.

To help me identify these plants and animals, I use these free apps:

  • Google Lens – My favorite for identifying pictures of flora or fauna (birds included)
  • Merlin – My favorite for identifying bird songs
  • Seek – A reader recommended I get this app to help identify plants and animals in Thailand and I’ve found it helpful everywhere because it just lists the most common things you’ll see in any area

Astronomy

So I’ve always been obsessed with space and the stars, but never took the time to look at them before retirement. I might have noticed the moon was a little brighter than usual while on my walks, but that was the extent of my astronomy prowess. One of my goals in retirement was to be more “one with the world” and learn about our night sky, and I’ve learned so much!

I now always know which way is North and as a result, can usually point out what planets are in the sky and several constellations throughout the year (even though they change with the seasons 😉 ) . Then I use the free Star Walk 2 app to help me identify new constellations.

I have been intentional about stopping and watching a pretty sunrise or sunset. I have on my calendar when every full moon takes place to make sure I go outside and watch it while reading about why that month has a unique full moon name (all of them apparently do 🙂 ).  I also do my best to catch any meteor showers that have high visibility in my area, which has led me to be able to see some gorgeous shooting stars 🙂 .

I have info on all of the above things I’ve seen in my monthly retirement updates here in case you want more in depth info on my experiences. In new astronomy news, I saw the Northern Lights for the first time this year, but it was just a tiny wisp in Iceland one night (we got unlucky with the cloud cover), but I’m excited I got to see it at all and I’m hoping for more when we go back next year.

Finance

I think finance is an official hobby at this point 😉 . And this year, I helped a few friends and family members (at their request) improve their financial lives! This included:

  • Someone I told about FIRE a decade ago retired this year!
  • A friend I taught travel hacking to flew their family First Class across the world for basically free
  • Helping family members continue their “retire in 5 years” plan we created together
  • Helping several people move money to Ally to make 4% instead of 0.02% at their regular bank
  • Teaching a younger family member that you can deposit checks online
  • Helping a family member in college figure out how to retire in 10 years on a teacher’s salary
  • Inspiring a friend to move their investments to Vanguard where an advisor told her that she was missing out on tax-free savings, which her previous financial advisor had never mentioned
  • Helping friends find an alternative when Mint closed (My suggestion is always Empower/Personal Capital if they’re in the US)
  • Talking to a family member who is taking financial savings steps after we talked about it two years ago
  • Suggesting to a family member who was going to buy new $400 headphones because a part of it stopped working, to contact the company over chat first. They did and the issue was fixed in minutes. $400 saved with a short live chat conversation!
  • Helping a family member who said they wanted to retire for a decade finally meet with Vanguard and take steps toward doing so. They might retire in the new year in their 30s.
  • Assisting family members with travel advice and travel hacking knowledge
  • Providing suggestions to a friend about first time homebuyer exemptions and early withdrawal penalties

That’s a lot of pro-bono ‘work’ if I do say so myself 😉 .

Travel Planning

Travel planning this year came in spurts. I meant to just “window shop” and before I knew it, it’s been 4 hours and I’ve planned the upcoming 7 months. Oops! I’m going to see if I can have a more measured approach in 2025, but then again if the inspiration strikes me all at once, history might just repeat itself since it was nice to get everything set up in one session and then just be present where I am.

Pumice Stone

Are pumice stones a hobby or a skill? I don’t know, but it is now! So I intentionally go to warm areas and prefer places that are 70F and sunny with pools and beaches. As a result, in retirement I shave often – way more than when I was working and wearing sweaters and pants for half of the year.

As a result of that increased rate of shaving, I started getting annoyed with shaving bumps and ingrown hairs. So I tried using the Ethique Exfoliating Pumice Soap Bar to see if it helped and it did. However, it would be one more thing I would have to keep stocked for my travels. Also, while it’s a beautiful dark color, that very color would often leave dark residue in white bathtubs, which wasn’t fun to clean.

So I wanted another solution. I looked into it and bought a Pumice Stone and it’s changed my life. It’s super light and easy to add to my luggage and has kept shaving bumps and ingrown hairs at bay. I didn’t know how I would feel adding a literal rock to my packing list, but it’s been so helpful I’m cool with it!

TRAVEL

This year I lived in below places:

USA

  • New York
  • Vermont
  • Texas
  • California
  • Nevada
  • Arizona
  • New Hampshire
  • Massachusetts
Source

International

  • Costa Rica🇨🇷
  • Canada🇨🇦
  • Iceland🇮🇸
  • Switzerland🇨🇭
  • Italy🇮🇹
  • The Netherlands🇳🇱

And I had these new travel experiences (I’ve included links to my Insta reviews of them):

And here are the full posts I wrote about some of those experiences:

This year’s travel adventures included 6 planes, 5 trains and 2 rental cars as well as innumerable taxis and rideshares. I’m excited to see where my adventures take me next year.

WATCHED

So I absolutely love films. In fact, I wanted to be a film major, but that wasn’t ‘liberal arts’ enough for my college, so I ended up just taking all of the classes I could on the subject and declaring another major. As a result of this obsession, I suspected that I would be watching films constantly in retirement, but that didn’t turn out to be the case.

In fact, most of the films I saw this year only happened because I was watching them with others, such my weekly movie club. So this list is way shorter than I expected, given that I have unlimited time – maybe I need to focus more on watching TV and movies next year 😉 . If you’re interested in following along with what I’m watching and how I rate these films, feel free to check out my Letterboxd profile here.

To start us off, this was the best trailer I saw in 2024:

I screamed when the pulsing beat was revealed to be diegetic and we saw where it was coming from. Feel free to let me know of any awesome trailers you saw this year 🙂 . I love trailers for themselves and also when they point me towards great movies.

Movies

This year I watched 80 movies. Here is a list of all the movies I saw this year and below are my top films of 2024:

  1. Godzilla Minus One
  2. They Cloned Tyrone
  3. Influencer
  4. American Fiction
  5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem
  6. Dune: Part Two
  7. The Holdovers

And here are my honorable mentions for 2024:

  1. Chevalier
  2. It’s What’s Inside
  3. Deadpool & Wolverine
  4. The Abyss (2023)
  5. The Beekeeper

TV Shows

Below is a list of my favorite new TV shows I watched this year:

And here are all the other shows I saw this year:

YouTube

A few years ago, I started getting really into YouTube. Below is a list of my channel obsessions this year. I also thought it would be fun to include my favorite videos from 2024 in no particular order 🙂 . Enjoy!

Regarding the above video, I don’t care about Disney, Star Wars or themed environments, but I found the rise and fall of this overpriced, glitchy experience fascinating. Jenny can get me fascinated by any topic and I’ve now watched this 4 hour video more times than I’m willing to admit. It’s a really interesting look into a specific topic that culminates with how it’s a perfect example of corporate greed.

Media

Education

Film

Comedy

Anti-MLM/Scams

Books

Gaming (The Sims)

READING

I like to pick a theme for my reading each year to make sure I’m exposing myself to new perspectives that are usually lacking in the majority of published works. Last year my goal was to read more books by queer authors and with queer protagonists and this year it was to increase the books I read by BIPOC authors and with BIPOC protagonists.

And it went really well! I found some fantastic new-to-me authors and the list of author newsletters I’m subscribed to and upcoming novels I’m excited about keep growing as a result.

I’ve also kept a promise to myself to not force myself to finish a book if I’m not enjoying it. I used to say that I couldn’t properly evaluate a book for myself unless I finished it, but then I realized that’s a bit silly and I shouldn’t waste time doing things I don’t enjoy.

So I started DNFing (“Did Not Finish”) books this year and I DNFed 67 of them. Some I stopped reading at the 10% mark and others at the 50% mark, but I’m glad I did. Life’s too short to power through something I’m not enjoying when there are so many great books to read 🙂 .

At the beginning of the year I accepted Goodread’s default 52 book reading goal and quickly surpassed it – so I increased it to 100 books…but then I surpassed that.

In the end, I chose a goal of 200 books, but I accidentally surpassed that in November. In 2024 I finished 207 fiction books, 13 non-fiction books and approximately 1 million fanfics for a total of 220 published books in 2024! A list of all the published books I’ve read this year can be found here and feel free to check out my Goodreads account here if you want to keep up with what I’m currently reading and how I rate specific books.

And here are my favorite books that I read this year in no particular order:

Non-Fiction

  1. I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
  2. How to Hide an Empire: A History of the Greater United States by Daniel Immerwahr
  3. Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men by Caroline Criado Perez
  4. Democracy In Retrograde: How to Make Changes Big and Small in Our Country and in Our Lives by Sami Sage & Emily Amick
  5. The Color Of Money: Black Banks and the Racial Wealth Gap by Mehrsa Baradaran
  6. Metabolical: The Lure and the Lies of Processed Food, Nutrition, and Modern Medicine by Robert H. Lustig
  7. Blood: The Science, Medicine, and Mythology of Menstruation by Dr. Jennifer Gunter
  8. Money Out Loud: All the Financial Stuff No One Taught Us by Berna Anat

  1. The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer
  2. The Wicked Bargain by Gabe Cole Novoa
  3. I Wish You All The Best by Mason Deaver
  4. Dark Space by Lisa Henry
  5. Final Boy At Randy’s by Loren Leigh
  6. None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell
  7. The Last Devil To Die by Richard Osman
  8. The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley
  9. Wool by Hugh Howey
  10. The Passing Playbook by Isaac Fitzsimons
  11. Bride by Ali Hazelwood
  12. Fangirl Down by Tessa Bailey
  13. Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas
  14. Malibu by Emmy Sanders
  15. Make Me Fall by Riley Nash
  16. Hidden Scars by Andi Jaxon
  17. Accidental Bonds by Marie Reynard
  18. Green Light by Lark Taylor

PLAYED

2024 was going to be my year of video games, but as you can see from the title of this post, I failed 🙂 . However, I did play new video games this year along with my old favorites, so I did expand my experiences but hopefully I can do even more next year. I never thought “play more video games” would be on my to do list, but retirement is weird.

New-To-Me Games

Old Faithfuls

I’ll have a post coming out in the new year about my favorite games that I played this year, so look out for that if it’s of interest to you.

Twitch

This is new for me 🙂 . As an extension of playing more games, I started watching YouTube videos about those games. But the next step that I didn’t anticipate was that I realized those same gaming YouTubers often go live on Twitch to play those same games and interact with their fans in real time.

So I started joining and was quickly hooked. It’s a lot of fun to talk directly to these content creators and feel like a little community of fans to cheer them on. In previous years I got that feeling from Discord and Fan Twitter, but it’s cool to find a new way now that I’ve deleted Twitter off my phone and am rarely on Discord.

Here are some Twitch streamers I enjoyed this year:

LISTENED

This year I’ve once again been taking full advantage of Spotify Premium’s new music features, specifically Discover Weekly, Daily Mixes, and Release Radar. I listen to the whole 1.5 hours of Discover Weekly every Monday and Release Radar every Friday. It’s exposed me to so much new music that I never knew existed while helping to regulate my moods and I’m loving it 🙂 .

I listened to over 60,113 minutes of music in 2024, which was in line with previous retired years (I listened to 29K minutes in 2019, 71K in 2020 aka the year I retired, 84K in 2021, 66K in 2022, 85K in 2023). 60K minutes is also apparently more music than 97% of people listened to this year. I listened to 2,447 artists and I found new albums that made my heart sing.

Here’s the best music I found this year:

Soundtracks & Scores

I love film soundtracks and original scores, so here are the soundtracks and scores that I couldn’t get out of my head:

Original Scores
Deadpool & Wolverine

Artists

Here are the new artists I’ve become obsessed with this year:

Songs

These are my favorite songs that I listened to in 2024:

And in case you missed it in one of my monthly recaps, here is a vocal performance that gave me shivers:

And these two videos get my vote for the Best Comedy Songs Of 2024:

And finally, here is an unreleased version of a song that I’m obsessed with by three of my favorite artists all together:

Conclusion

So that’s everything I got up to during 2024! I’m still curious, still growing as a person and still finding new things to love and become obsessed with. In essence, life just keeps getting better. I am very grateful that I was able to retire early because retirement is definitely a huge part of how I can do all of this.

For example, planning, measuring, cooking and logging all my food takes a bit of time and that can be challenging to fit into a busy life. When I first went keto in 2017 I lost 50lbs by focusing only on that for a year while working.

However, this year I was able to focus on my food as well as getting better at my exercise hobbies (running, weight lifting, bodyweight squats) and adding new ones (yoga, pt exercises, meditation).

All this to say, I know retirement is a big part of why all this is possible and I’m immensely grateful I have the time to focus on my health and fitness. I’m the healthiest I’ve ever been and I’m hoping that streak continues. Let’s see what happens in 2025! Thank you for being here 🙂 .

How was your year? Did you accomplish your goals?

  1. A great post – here’s to a great 2024! I also love Jenny Nicholson! Have you seen her Vampire Diaries video? I’ve never seen the show but love her video on it! lol May I suggest a video game? Balatro has been my favorite game this year and I get a sense you may like it too. It’s particularly good for a plane or train ride. Available on Steam, Switch or phones. Thanks for sharing your year with us!

    1. Thanks! And haha yeah I’ve seen that VPD video a lot. I also have never watched the show, but feel like a scholar on the subject because of Jenny lol. My Partner is obsessed with Balatro – it’s not my kind of game, but maybe one day I can get into that kind of thing. Thank you for the reco though and thank you for reading!

  2. It sounds cheesy, but health really is wealth haha. So glad that you’ve made it a priority in retirement. I’ve taken exercise more seriously this year and have found it so helpful in regulating my emotions.

Also, thanks for reminding me of Spotify’s Discover Weekly and Release Radar playlists. I used to listen to them regularly but at some point they became more hidden on the app than before.

    1. Haha not cheesy at all – just straight up facts. And yeah exercise is great for that. Woohoo for Discover Weekly etc – I love that stuff. Some weeks it’s not that great and then the next week it’s all bangers. So random, but I love how many new artists I discover on there and become obsessed with. I listen mostly on the desktop app.

  3. Thanks for sharing your fitness journey. As a fellow FIRE nomad, I have had to work through similar challenges and feel like I am finally balancing everything and feeling physically and mentally strong.
One question / suggestion – do you get regular blood work done?
I am asking because it’s been invaluable to find out that a keto diet was OK for me but raised my husband’s lipids dramatically despite being an extremely fit athlete. We have been able to get blood work done every 3 to 6 months across the globe and have found beneficial to track important biomarkers such as LDL, ApoB, etc.

    1. Thanks for reading! And it’s good to hear I’m not alone in seeking a balance while full-time traveling 🙂 .

I get blood work done about every year and have been eating keto for 7 years so I’ve compared the before and after and my bloodwork improved drastically on keto. Totally good to check though – nothing works for everyone.

How do you go about getting blood work done around the world? Since I’ve never tried it I don’t even know where to start 🙂 . That’s a cool idea.

  4. I love the article, really interesting.

Congrats on your weight loss, that is superb. I think you meant, “weight is not indicative of fitness.” I agree with that statement. There is absolutely no question weight above your muscle mass adjusted ideal weight impacts your health (the greater the amount of excess weight, the greater the impact).

I love reading your articles, they are so fascinating!

  5. So glad you are posting an extra time each week for December. I browsed onto your website randomly on a non-Tuesday and was rewarded. Big thank you to again…you got me into birding (low cost, so much variety in birds, and my Dad is into it, we don’t have too much hobby wise in common so I am forever grateful for that). I use to eye ball food and write down in Google Sheets what I ate, but why not use Cronometer for more insights/data while I’m at it.

Your blog has been amazing to read, and it was essential to get me through 2022 when I had such a terrible job.

I’m still working on incorporating some habits/hobbies of yours…namely meditation, yoga, running, reading (listening to stuff on Youtube at 2x probably doesn’t count lol)…but 2025 is around the corner 😉

    Thanks again Purple for posting!

  6. Heck yeah, get that physical health on track! You’re doing amazing. Super glad to see you picked up yoga as a complement to running; I wish I’d done that when I ran, it would have helped me avoid some problems. You’re doing the right things!

In terms of me and my 2024 goals: eh. EH. I did accomplish the biggest one, which was to quit my job for a year of travel. I’ve also started inner work and meditation. In terms of other, more tangible goals related to work and hobbies, I didn’t do what I hoped I would. Honestly, those are more important to me, but it’s okay. All things considered, life is pretty good, and 2024 was a great year.
