How I Made $1,300 By Being Sassy At Work

On this blog, I’ve been cataloging how I’ve changed during this 5+ year journey to financial independence. Most of those changes have involved how I act at work, which I detailed in posts here and here. Continue reading “How I Made $1,300 By Being Sassy At Work”

How To Blog Anonymously

I recently received a reader email asking about how I blog anonymously. I sent her a (probably) way too long response and realized these tips might be able to help others as well, so here we are. Here’s what she said: Continue reading “How To Blog Anonymously”

Lessons Learned From 5 Years Of Blog Writing

Well it’s been five years – five years since I started my journey to financial independence and five years since I started writing this blog (though I only took it public last July). Today I want to focus on what those five years of writing have taught me (thoughts on what it’s like to be half a decade into a financial journey will come in a January post). The Year of Reflection: 2019 Goals & Accomplishments

In my old age, time seems to be flying by. So when I started this blog, I began jotting down what I learned, read and experienced throughout a year to try and remember what that year involved outside the 90% of my mental energy that is usually spent thinking about work. At this particular moment, I’m hunched over my laptop in my Mom’s office while my butt starts to fall asleep from sitting in this chair too long. The day has involved an endless gauntlet of conference calls that haven’t allowed me enough time to take a break and stand up, let alone take a quick walk to rejuvenate my behind.

Why I Decided To Monetize My Blog

Why I’ve Decided To Monetize My Blog

As I mentioned in my last post, I accepted my first affiliate relationship when I agreed to be a beta for my friend Julie’s blogging course. I originally agreed to be a part of the course to support her and because I have seen that everything she creates is valuable, but I didn’t expect this one-off support of a friend to change my core thoughts about my blog.
