6 Months To Retirement: This Is Starting To Feel Real
Reality is setting in y’all. I feel similar to how I did right before we moved across the country without a house, job or knowing basically anyone on this side of the country. I had made the decision and I knew it was the right one, but it was still terrifying. I was leaving the best job I’d ever had behind, along with the best apartment I’d ever had and all the friends I’d made in my adult life. I was petrified. Why I Enjoy Walking My Groceries Home
I feel like people are always calling me a weirdo for some aspect of my life. I’ve started to wear the label with pride. One part of my life that seems to be met with the most shock and horror lately is that I walk my groceries home. This might be surprising to friends because we live halfway up a 400 foot hill. There is a grocery store at the bottom of our hill and at the top. Either way, you’re climbing a hill in one direction, often with pounds and pounds of groceries on your back. Getting Swol
During my failed no drinking month I decided to start exercising at home. When I first moved to Seattle I would walk 1.5 miles to work and 1.5 miles home (which included a few large hills). Since I started working from home my walking has decreased greatly and I wanted to offset my lack of exercise. I felt like a bit of a lump, especially with the weather getting colder I’ve really settled into my hibernation instincts. Continue reading “Getting Swol”
