The Month Of The Solar Eclipse: April 2024 Recap

This might have been the fastest month of my retired life. I had a great time, but fast travel is definitely not for me because while I had a lovely time, I can’t remember the last time I was this tired. It was probably during my career 4 years ago and I don’t like it! So let’s see what I did this month that was worth messing up my sleep schedule and my relaxed lifestyle 🙂 .

My Partner Reached FI!!! A Q&A

When I announced that my partner hit his FI number on Instagram, someone commented (and I quote in its entirety): “Blog Post.” So here is “Blog Post.” I unsurprisingly vetoed using that as the actual blog post title, but here is my lovely Partner to tell you about his journey to FI, based on questions y’all submitted in my Instagram stories. Take it away my dude! Continue reading “My Partner Reached FI!!! A Q&A”

I Recorded What I Did Every Hour For 3 Years Of Retirement: Here’s What Retirees Do All Day!

Here we are again 🙂 . Two years ago I mentioned that I accidentally recorded everything I did in 1 hour increments for my whole first year of retirement. Originally this was because I was curious to see what I got up to with unlimited time, and later I found it so useful that I just kept doing it. Nomad Tech Necessities: A Peek Inside The Bag Of A Full-Time Traveler

A few people have asked me about my partner’s remote work setup, which led me down a rabbit hole to realize that a post about that wouldn’t be very interesting 🙂 . I think that because it would be the shortest post ever saying, “he uses a keyboard and mouse.” However, that made me realize that talking about all the technology we travel with to make our lives easier and more fun while still being super mobile, might be helpful. So let’s take a sneak a peek into our travel bags!

The Year Of Spanish: 2022 Goals & Accomplishments

Throughout the year, I like to jot down new things I’ve learned, read, watched and experienced to try and remember what each year entailed. I then summarize all of that in my annual goals and accomplishments posts. The goal of these posts is not just to curate what I’ve been up to, but also to document how I have changed from one year to the next and how I’ve grown as a person. I Recorded What I Did Every Hour For 2 Years Of Retirement: Here’s What Retirees Do All Day!

This weird experiment continues 🙂 . Last year I mentioned that I accidentally recorded everything I did in 1 hour increments for my whole first year of retirement. Originally this was because I was curious to see what I got up to with unlimited time, and later I found it so useful that I just kept doing it. The Month Of Maine: September 2022 Recap

And just like that, it was fall 🙂 . I always thought of myself as a summer girl, but given that I can soak up all of the lessening hours of sunlight instead of dreamily looking at them outside my office window, I’m coming around to this season. It’s definitely more pleasant to run in, I’m enjoying the warmth of tea in my belly and a fluffy blanket on my lap when I (inevitably) read a book in one sitting. Consider me a changed woman 🙂 . So, let’s see what I got up to during this first month of fall!
